John Carvelli,

John Carvelli is a Director and Executive Vice President of the LIBERTY Dental Plan group of companies, a national dental benefits administrator. He has been with the company since just shortly after its inception, and has used his extensive experience in healthcare business, financial, and regulatory matters to help build it into a fast-growing, nationwide enterprise.

Prior to joining LIBERTY Dental’s team, John completed a multi-year project directing a hospital and integrated clinic system in Los Angeles, CA. The project included the management and work-out of one of the oldest and largest community healthcare delivery systems in Los Angeles County.

In 1996, John established a business and public affairs consulting company providing services for healthcare companies including the Children’s, Adventist, Tenet and Sharp Healthcare systems.

John earned his Bachelor’s of Arts degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. While in Washington, he served as a press aide to former United States Senator Bill Bradley of New Jersey and interned on Capitol Hill in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In 1985, John came to California where he served as a representative for a member of the State Assembly and as manager of a statewide campaign for Lt. Governor.

John is active in political and community activities and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Parents Television Council http://www.parentstv.org and on the Board of “Team 100” Food for Kids Program. http://volcenter.org/team-100/

John is also a member of the Newport Harbor Yacht Club and the Breakfast Club of Newport Beach.
