Amir Neshat, DDS

Dr. Neshat, a practiced dentist, founded LIBERTY Dental Plan (LIBERTY) in 2001 and serves as Founder and Chairman. Under his leadership, LIBERTY has expanded from operating a California DHMO with a few hundred individual members to one of the largest dental health plans serving over 5 million members across the United States.

Through Dr. Neshat’s vision, LIBERTY has established itself as a leader in creating innovative delivery models that drive down healthcare costs, enhancing quality of care, improving dental outcomes and continually improving the member experience. The promotion of strong work ethics and teamwork continues to earn LIBERTY the highest industry standards for accreditation and certification.

As a widely recognized executive with a long record of accomplishments, including pioneering the first mobile dental services in Southern California in 2000, introducing the dental disease management program, assisting managed care organizations and state agencies in designing managed medical and dental insurance benefit models specifically tailored to meet their needs, and advancing research and studies in dental health. Dr. Neshat is known for creating collaborative environments focused on transparency, accountability and innovation. He has successfully led the development and implementation of value-based dental programs and services under Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial managed care.

Dr. Neshat received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, San Diego.
