Laurie Curfman joined LIBERTY Dental Plan in 2008. As the second employee hired for the Nevada office, she was an integral part of establishing a network of contracted dentists and building the foundation of the operations in Nevada. In her current role as Client Operations Manager, she is responsible for managing the Nevada Medicaid and Nevada Check Up Dental Program and overseeing the Nevada Community Outreach Team.
Laurie has over 20 years of experience in the dental industry. She possesses an extensive range of knowledge from dental practice management to dental benefits administration, with expertise in provider network management and account management. She began her career as the office manager of a private dental practice in Las Vegas overseeing the day-to-day operations. She went on to become the Claims and Customer Service Supervisor at Nevada Pacific Dental, a UnitedHealthcare Dental Company, where she maintained and monitored goals for production and accuracy which ensured that turn-around times and service level agreements were met.
Laurie earned both her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She takes pride in being a native of Las Vegas and is committed to giving back to her community by promoting the importance of oral health.
