LIBERTY Dental Plan Competency, Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity Training regarding SPD Beneficiaries
LIBERTY Dental Plan conducts Competency, Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity Training regarding SPD Beneficiaries for educational purposes and regulatory adherence. LIBERTY Dental Plan strives to provide specific cultural and linguistic competency training to meet the changing needs of the diverse populations in the communities that we serve. The training highlights the importance of engagement, Federal/State Laws and other licensing requirements, and cultural awareness.
The goal of this training is to provide the tools to communicate successfully across social boundaries, to build understanding and trust between provider and patient, and to work with patients to develop treatment plans that are effective and culturally relevant. Even if a provider does not speak a patient’s preferred language, he or she can take steps to ensure successful patient-provider communication and reduce the risk of dangerous misunderstandings.
This attestation form is provided as a convenience for contracted Providers and Staff to make a written statement in which they verify that they have completed the entire Competency, Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity Training regarding SPD Beneficiaries. Please note that CE Units are available for California Providers only.
