Liberty Dental Plan creates a dedicated toll-free number following state of emergency proclamation for Glenn, Humboldt, and Mendocino Counties issued on September 21, 2026
On September 21, 2026, Governor Newsom issued a State of Emergency Proclamation for Glenn, Humboldt, and Mendocino Counties. From February 15 through February 24, 2026, a series of strong storms hit California, including Glenn, Humboldt, and Mendocino Counties. There was heavy rain and snow, wind gusts over 65 miles per hour, rising rivers, and even freeze and extreme cold warnings. The storms damaged trees, roads, and other structures, and left debris that blocked roads and needed emergency repairs. They also made travel dangerous, caused worries about avalanches, and shut down mountain passes in the Sierra Nevada. In Glenn County, roads were closed and travel was unsafe, and County Road 306 could not be passed because of storm damage and debris. The Plan does not expect to have any issues with our regular day to day operations. We will continue to be available to members. This includes after hours and on the weekend. We are sharing our availability to potentially impacted enrollees through this press release on our website.

This policy applies in the event of any state of emergency declared by the governor and health emergencies declared by the State Public Health Officer. Liberty will comply with guidance issued by the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) related to the emergency.
