• Founded and operated by a dentist, LIBERTY has been doing business since 2002, is headquartered in Irvine, CA, and employs approximately 300 CA residents. LIBERTY is also a proud Teamster 986 organized employer.
• Network Managers are assigned regionally and by county, allowing the providers timely and direct access to LIBERTY staff.
• LIBERTY offers dental products for all service lines, including Medi-Cal Managed Care in Los Angeles and Sacramento Counties; Small Group “SHOP” products on the Covered CA Healthcare Exchange; Medicare; Union/Taft-Hartley, Schools, Municipalities and Employer Groups of all sizes.

Meet our California Medical Director, Dr. Sanchez-Figueras

As Dental Director of LIBERTY Dental Plan of California, Dr. Sanchez-Figueras is responsible for clinical oversight, policy, and quality management. He brings more than 40 years of dental professional experience, including 32 years of private practice, lecturing nationally and internationally on early caries diagnosis and its conservative treatment, 8 years of dental insurance industry participation, ranging from private payer to state-funded plan leadership. Dr. Sanchez-Figueras held a previous position as California Dental Director for Guardian Life Corporation.

Dr. Sanchez-Figueras holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Biology and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Sanchez-Figueras is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
