LIBERTY Receives 2012 NCQA-Certified HEDIS ® Compliance Audit Scores
LIBERTY Dental Plan (LIBERTY) has once again been presented with a seal of completion for its annual NCQA-Certified HEDIS® Compliance Audit™.
The 2012 report summarily stated that LIBERTY’s yearly reported Dental Quality Measures were in accordance with the Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board (MRMIB) technical specifications, and with the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) standards as issued by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This is the third consecutive year that LIBERTY has been awarded these accolades for its quality practices.
LIBERTY’S passage of the audit culminates from a 6 month long effort undertaken on behalf of Health Net Dental. In harmony with LIBERTY’s corporate philosophy of providing world-class, unmatched Client Services, LIBERTY took the initiative to prepare the 2012 HEDIS report on Health Net’s behalf and met its goal of greatly increasing the outcome over what was reported in previous years.
NCQA (www.ncqa.org)is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to assessing and reporting on the quality of managed care plans, managed behavioral healthcare organizations, preferred provider organizations, new health plans, physician organizations, credentials, verification organizations, disease management programs, and other health-related programs. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of healthcare organizations and manages the evaluations of HEDIS ®, the performance measurement tool used by more than 90 percent of the nation’s health plans.
