LIBERTY Dental Plan Foundation Co-Sponsors Oral Health Symposium with the Center for Oral Health
IRVINE, Calif.--(
BUSINESS WIRE)--Please know that a new non-profit enterprise has been established called LIBERTY Dental Plan Foundation (“Foundation”). The MISSION of the Foundation is to improve the oral health and therefore the well-being of vulnerable, underserved populations, elevate the quality of dental care, reduce disparities in access, and promote the importance of routine dental care.
The Foundation seeks to seed new initiatives, identify and expand existing programs, support appropriate research, promote dental education to positively impact its targeted communities, and engage in partnerships to foster its goals.
The first initiative for the Foundation, which is locally based in Orange County, is a major Platinum Sponsorship for the Center for Oral Health’s 2014 Symposium. The Symposium, titled Oral Health 2020: A Vision for Integrated Care, will be hosted in Long Beach, California, on November 6, 2014 (See link below). The conference’s purpose and goals echo our Foundation’s mission, promising to evaluate models of dental-medical integration, and explore the development of solutions to improve oral health outcomes.
John Carvelli will serve as Executive Director of the nonprofit organization with support from additional directors and an advisory committee composed of dental healthcare experts and executives. “We have long been developing our vision for the LIBERTY Dental Plan Foundation, and it’s exciting to see it finally take form,” said Carvelli. “Our goals are to identify and support innovative improvements in oral healthcare and overall coordinated care for our community and for the entire dental industry.”
