On March 22, 2024, Governor Newsom expanded a State of Emergency issued on February 4, 2024 to support ongoing recovery efforts in regard to the impact of severe winter storms in early February. This proclamation was expanded to the following 11 additional counties - Alameda, Butte, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, Monterey, Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Sonoma and Sutter. There are now 19 impacted counties from the early February storms including the following 8 Southern California counties which are Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
